LKG (4+ Years Onwards)
We follow the C.B.S.E. curriculum in LKG which has been integrated with extensive co-curricular activities which include English, Hindi, Math, and EVS. Classroom instruction is complemented by weekly participation in a variety of special subject areas. These include library, science, music, arts & craft, pottery, and Yoga, sports & fitness.
Our curriculum is the result of ongoing conversations among faculty and administration. As such, it reflects Leens rich academic heritage and our involvement with current educational practices and philosophical thought. It is a document that will continue to grow.
Phonics
Letters and Sounds
We are following a Government approved phonics programme – Letters and Sounds- which follows a multiple phase teaching programme of phonics. This programme concentrates on high quality phonic work for 4+ year old (As of 31st March), teaching the phonic knowledge and skills they will need to become fluent readers. In our school we teach phonics daily and children work at an appropriate level as determined by the class teacher.
